Gloria

Here’s The Gospel Project performing our setting of the Gloria. Anyone familiar with the text of the Catholic mass will know that there a number of ‘parts’ of the mass which can be sung instead of spoken. Obviously as a vocal harmony group we reckon sung is always better. And as St. Augustine is supposed to have said, ‘to sing is to pray twice’! So this is an example of a mass part that we typically perform at Catholic weddings. Our version is adapted by Cathy from a traditional Zambian praise tune, with thanks (and/or apologies!) to the congregation of St. Charles Lwanga, Lusaka, Zambia. We hope you like it.
