Alternatively please contact us to arrange delivery : info@thegospelprojectireland.com / 087-6361314 What is the line-up of the Gospel Project Vocal Ensemble? The Vocal Ensemble is a 6 -piece outfit consisting of five singers (2 male, 3 female) and a keyboard player. Several of the singers also play instruments, including guitar, percussion and violin. We use amplification for all our performances. The group can be augmented with extra singers or musicians from The Gospel Project Band if you require a larger ensemble for your wedding or function (see below). What is the line-up of the Gospel Project Band? The Gospel Project Band features bass guitar, drums and electric guitar in addition to the full 6-piece Vocal Ensemble line-up. I would like to hear the group before booking you. What is the best way to do this? We have a demo cd that we can send by post; just send an e-mail with your postal address to info@thegospelprojectireland.com. You can also hear us live at one of our regular gigs - please visit our Gigs page for further info. How far in advance do I need to book the Gospel Project for a wedding/function? We accept bookings up to 18 months in advance. We recommend booking early, particularly if you are getting married on a Saturday, or during the summer months. Are the Gospel Project available for weddings on weekdays? Yes. What does the group wear when performing? The Gospel Project dress in black with purple ties. I would like more than five singers for my wedding. Is this possible? We can easily provide extra singers or extra musicians (such as bass guitar or percussion) if you would like a bigger sound. For rates per person contact Cathy on 087-6361314 /info@thegospelprojectireland.com Do I have to choose from the songs in your repertoire or can I have other songs for my wedding ceremony? We will prepare up to two new songs for each wedding ceremony, in addition to our existing repertoire. You should consider how the songs you would like will sound when performed by a choir with a keyboard - for example you might like Eva Cassidy's version of 'Fields of Gold', but it is performed by a solo singer with a guitar and there is little scope for developing it as a choir song. We will happily give advice if you have questions in this area. Please note that we require at least 4 weeks' notice per new song. Will I be allowed to have the songs I want at a Catholic wedding ceremony? All of our songs have a religious message and we have rarely met with any objections to our singing them in church. However, we strongly recommend that you consult with the celebrant about your choice of songs, particularly if we are preparing new material for you that we have not sung at weddings before. I'm not sure what kind of songs are sung at different points during the wedding ceremony. Can you help? We will happily make suggestions as to what songs are appropriate for the various stages of the ceremony. We would normally perform approximately 7 songs at each wedding ceremony, in addition to the mass parts (Gloria, Hallelujah etc…) and, if you wish, a psalm. (The psalm can also be read by a friend or relative). Remember that some of the songs -such as those at the Offertory and the Communion - will need to be fairly slow, while others - for example the song(s) at the signing of the register - can be more upbeat. Do the Gospel Project play at weddings/functions outside of Dublin? We are happy to play outside of Dublin, provided our time and traveling expenses are covered. For rates contact info@thegospelprojectireland.com Do the Gospel Project perform at corporate events? Yes. For this type of event we recommend The Gospel Project Band. Do the Gospel Project do any recording work with other bands/songwriters? The Gospel Project have considerable experience recording jingles as well as original material by other artists. For rates contact us. Are the Gospel Project available for charity gigs? The Gospel Project are happy to perform at charity gigs, however it is not possible for us to participate in all of the events we are invited to play at. Please inquire well in advance of the event and we will do our very best to help. To book The Gospel Project for an event, just go to our bookings page or contact us by email, or phone. |
